At Ebisu TG Clinic, we offer hormone therapy for individuals experiencing gender dysphoria (MTF, FTM) or male menopause. Our services are available both to those who have undergone treatment in their home countries and to those seeking treatment for the first time.
Unlike some other clinics, Ebisu TG Clinic does not deny treatment or cause any inconvenience simply because you are a foreign national. Please feel at ease when receiving care.
Additionally, our director, Dr. Saegusa, understands English, so you can feel comfortable during your visit. For more details on Dr. Saegusa’s profile, please refer to this link.
Services offered at our clinic: hormone therapy, blood tests, etc.

FAQ
1. Starting Hormone Therapy
If you are already receiving hormone therapy in your home country, you can usually continue treatment without any major delay.
However, please note that medications available in Japan may differ from those used overseas. In such cases, our physician will propose medications with equivalent pharmacological effects, and may adjust the dosage or administration schedule as appropriate.
Occasionally, we encounter treatment regimens that are medically unusual or not evidence-based. In those situations, we will carefully explain the concerns and suggest a safer, medically appropriate alternative.
If you are starting hormone therapy for the first time, we will support you so that you can begin treatment smoothly. During the initial consultation (online consultation is also available), we will review your medical history, discuss your goals, explain potential risks, and initiate the most appropriate treatment.
We primarily use medications that are approved and commercially available in Japan.
In some cases, certain medications that are difficult to obtain domestically may be sourced from overseas.
Please note that medications used in Japan may not be identical to those prescribed abroad. However, our physician will select medications with pharmacologically equivalent effects whenever possible.
We will carefully review your current prescription as a reference; however, we cannot guarantee that the same regimen can be continued without modification, and in most cases this is not feasible.
If there is a medication that you believe is absolutely necessary, please consult with us. We can check separately whether it is possible to obtain it.
There is no strict age limit for hormone therapy.
However, for minors, parental or legal guardian consent is required.
